Meet Ahmed Abdelsalam, MD

Ahmed Abdelsalam, MD - Dr. Abdelsalam is a board certified Ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical, laser and surgical management of all retinal and vitreous diseases. His treatment expertise includes macular degeneration, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, diabetic retinopathy, traumatic, complex and recurrent retinal detachments, retinal tears, proliferative vitreoretinopathy, and pediatric vitreoretinal surgery.
 
 Dr. Abdelsalam completed his Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the prestigious Kresge Eye Institute at Wayne State University in Michigan. He is the former director of the Adult and Pediatric Vitreoretinal Surgery Services at the University of Chicago.
