Does Medicare cover the cost of my glasses?
 
Medicare will help with the cost of one pair of glasses after cataract surgery.
 
 
What about after secondary cataracts?
 
No, Medicare will not cover glasses after secondary cataracts.
 
 
How much does Medicare Pay?
 
As of 01/01/2010 Medicare pays up to $67.85 on a frame and covers a lined bifocal or trifocal. As always, Medicare only pays 80% of the approved charges and the patient will be responsible for the remaining 20%.
 
 
Do you bill my insurance company for my glasses?
 
Miller Eye Center participates in many insurance plans. We are happy to bill your services to any plan in which we have a contract. However, we must have adequate information regarding your insurance in order to process your claim. Prior to your appointment, we recommend checking with your insurance carrier to determine if Miller Eye Center participates in your plan.

No problem, Miller Eye Center’s Optical shop accepts any valid eyeglass prescription.  Just bring a copy in with you.
